Property Description

227 North Parler Avenue, currently the home of George's Station Antiques, offers the ultimate, affordable place to combine working, living and playing in St. George, SC. This restored, commercial and historic building is one piece of the downtown restoration movement that is on-going for the seat of Dorchester County. Above the shop, a 2 -bedroom, 2- bathroom apartment exists that opens up to a large deck that is just waiting to be developed into a perfect paradise. The potential for this building is only limited by one's imagination. St. George is growing and deals such as this will not last for long.Ensconced in a restored commercial historic building, our antique shop pays honor to the original name of the Dorchester County (SC) seat, St. George. A town built on the railroad, George's Station was founded largely on the lands of Jim George and is included in the area on the Mill's Atlas map of 1828 as St. George's Parish Dorchester. The antique shop is one piece in the current downtown restoration, which includes the Klauber Building next door on Parler Avenue, which houses a museum and is the office of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce, and Bistro 221, a restaurant on the other side. These three buildings, all completed in 1894, once served as retail stores and, in the case of the Bistro, a pharmacy.
NOTE: A selection of rare antiques is available to the Buyer for purchase separately.

My daughter and I decided to move to Summerville, SC from Kansas last year. We flew out to SC for a few days to look around and at this time, I didn't have a realtor yet. By chance, we stopped at an open house and met Angie!!! She was so nice and easy to talk with, almost like we had known each other for years! The next month, we flew back out and Angie had the day lined up with showings. She was great on pointing out the positives/negatives of each house. She wanted us to feel comfortable about our new home. Angie was extremely helpful with our long distance move. She was always available to answer any questions. We definitely made the right decision on Angie being our realtor!!! DeeAnna
